What is the difference between mobile grooming and taking my pet to a groom shop?

There is a big difference; convenience for you and less stress for your pet. You don’t have to make two trips to the grooming shop. Cats Just Cats Grooming does everything a groom shop can do and your pet is not stuck in a cage all day. Your pet avoids exposure to other pets that may expose your pet to disease or parasites. They receive specialized one on one attention, something a groom shop cannot offer your pet.

How long does it take to groom my pet?

This depends on the condition and size of your pet: about 1-2 hours. It can be longer if your pet’s coat is in bad shape. Less time than your pet would spend in the typical groom shop. Call us at 215-945-4624 for times and prices.

How often should I have my pet groomed?

That depends on what breed you own, but generally every 4-10 weeks is recommended depending on the type of coat. The nails should be trimmed at least every four weeks and ears cleaned once a week for overall health and comfort.

Do I need to schedule an appointment?

Yes, and we recommend setting your appointments regularly so you don’t have any problems getting an appointment at a certain day or time you may prefer. Once you become familiar with us you don’t even have to be home, just your pet does.

Do you express anal glands?

No. If it is done incorrectly, it can lead to irritation and/or infection. The anal glands express naturally when your pet has a bowel movement. If you believe there is a problem with our pet’s anal glands, you should see a veterinarian.

Why is it more expensive to shave my pet’s coat?

We use a much finer clipper blade. Usually if a pet has to be shaved, it’s because its coat is matted. It is time consuming and we take time to ensure we do it safely.

No. We have water in our vans and they are climate controlled. Your pet will never be too cold or hot no matter what the weather is like. We also have our own electricity. The only thing we need from you is your pet.

Do cats need grooming too?

Yes. Many groomers will not groom cats as they are harder to groom and many groomers lack the expertise. Our groomer is a feline mobile master groomer; very experienced and trained in grooming cats. We help your cat be cute, comfortable and clean.

How do I know if the groomer/company is good?

Talk to friends. Who do they recommend? Is the person on the phone knowledgeable about grooming? Are they answering your questions? Can you watch your pet being groomed? Can you see inside the van before your pet is taken in it? Ask what the grooming price includes. Things like nail trimming, skimming the pads, ear cleaning and sanitary grooms should be included as they are important to your pets well being.

Can I use a coupon?

At the present time we don’t use coupons. We do offer discounts for seniors, veterans, fire fighters, police and paramedics.
