Mobile Dog Grooming in Levittown, PA

Why should I get my dog professionally groomed?

Although some dog owners prefer to groom their dogs on their own, having your dog professionally groomed will save you lots of time and energy. It takes a lot of work and patience to groom a dog, especially a fluffy dog, or a puppy, or one who won’t sit still. Professional groomers are trained to safely handle all kinds of dogs.

It can be expensive and difficult to find the right tools to groom your dog on your own. Professional groomers have all the right tools to get your dog looking their best. They are equipped with shampoos for dogs with skin allergies, irritations, fleas and ticks, or for dogs that got sprayed by a skunk.

Dog Grooming Services

You’ll know if your dog needs a haircut. When their hair is matted up, they have tangles all over, or they are overheating in summer, it is time for the groomer.

The Basic Dog Grooming Package

This dog grooming package includes bathing, trims to clear hair from their eyes, ear care, eye checks and eye care, nail trims, and paw pad checks. We clean your dog’s face and shampoo and condition their coat. Then we rinse, brush, massage, towel dry and blow dry your dog. We trim their sanitary area and do a full brush (and comb) out. For the finishing touches, we put a cute bandana on them and spray them with pet friendly cologne (unless otherwise advised). Then we bring them back in to see their owners.

While technically this service does not include a cut, we like our customers (your pets) to look and feel good, so we may trim a few areas on your dog that definitely needs attention. The price of this service is based on the breed of the dog. For example, a Saint Bernard is a much larger dog with a lot more fur than a Chihuahua does, which makes the job of grooming more challenging, longer, and higher in price. Regular grooming can help reduce dog hair allergens in your home.

De-matting

If your dog has mats and tangles, sometimes we can comb them out. If we spend a lot of time de-matting your dog, there is a charge for that. A basic package and hair cut includes de-matting time in it, but if we spend an excessive amount of time combing and brushing due to packed undercoat and/or tangles, we will charge for that extra time and effort.

Furminator or De-shedding Treatment

A furminator or de-shedding treatment makes both long and shorthair dogs look and feel better. Within 1 or 2 treatments, it has been proven to reduce shedding up to 90%. It removes loose hair, reduces dander and airborne elements that cause allergic reactions in many people, as well as helps reduce shedding on furniture and you as well.

De-skunking

Did your wonderful dog decide to play with a skunk? If so, we can de-skunk your dog and offer tips and tricks to help you deal with the smell in your home. There is also a mixture with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dawn that can work wonders to reduce the smell on your dog’s body (not for their head) if applied quickly after they were sprayed.

Trim Only

If wanted or needed, we can trim specific areas rather than trimming your whole dog. We can trim paws, pads, feathers, face, tail, neck, sanitary or others specific areas.

Sanitary Groom

Everyone loves their pets, but not so much when they have poop stuck all over their back end. Let us clean clean this for you as this is not good for your dog or the cleanliness of your house, and a “sanitary cut” or groom will trim away the hair to ensure good hygiene.

Brush Out Only

Know your pet needs to be brushed, but don’t have the time? We can come out to comb and brush your dog for you. With our specialized tools, we’ll be able to remove a lot more undercoat than your brushing would.

Nail Clip Only

If your dog doesn’t need anything other than just the nails taken care of, we can come out and do just the nails on all 4 paws. Not doing regular nail clips on your dog can lead to a variety of problems.

Nail Grinding Only

If you have a family member who is on blood thinners or is a senior, grinding your dog’s nails down after clipping them ensures that the ends are rounded. This will help prevent your excited or playful pup from accidentally drawing any unwanted blood. This can also help protect your furniture as well.

Tooth Brushing

Brushing your dog’s teeth is important to maintaining dental health and preventing gum disease and other dental issues. Since brushing a dog’s teeth can be a difficult task, you can have us do it for you as we have been trained for this. Maintaining regular tooth brushing regiments, helps your dog’s teeth last their lifetime.

Flea and Tick Treatment

Fleas are easy to get and very hard to get rid of. We can take care of the fleas and ticks on your dog and offer valuable suggestions as to how to get rid of fleas in your house.

If your dog has fleas or ticks, we can give them a bath that would kill those pests. Then we dry and brush them, removing dead fleas or use hemostats to remove embedded ticks. We always recommend that you get long term protection for your pets, but this treatment takes care of the pests currently on your pet while you deal with your pets environment.

Ear Cleaning

One area that dogs can’t clean very well themselves, is inside their ears. We remove wax, dirt, and debris from your pets ears. It’s better to have a professional clean your dog’s ears as it is important to be gentle and to avoid the dog’s inner ear canals to prevent injury or infection. While cleaning your dog’s ears, we will be able to let you know about health concerns such as ear mites, blood blisters or ear infections before they become a major problem. This service may also include trimming, scissoring or plucking hair from the ears if necessary.

Types Of Dog Cuts

Breed Clip

This is a cut specifically designed to works with your dogs’ coat, skeletal, and muscular structure. There are over a 100 different breeds of dogs and each has their own breed clip. Some breeds have beards, some do not; Some breeds are hunters and most hunting dogs have short cuts so that their hair does not catch in the bushes. Some breed clips are short and some are not. There are hundreds of different breed cuts.

Puppy Cut

The puppy cut is a cut that is the same length all over. This can be anything from very short, almost a shave, to very long. It is by far the most popular requested cut as it works on most breed of dogs (and cats) and the owner can determine whether they want almost no hair taken off or almost no hair left.

Shave Down

This is an extremely short cut. If your pet is badly matted or has skin issues, a shave down may be what you need. It gets rid of most of the fur, exposing the skin to the air which can help healing and makes applying creams easier. Certain breeds of dogs should ideally never be shaved, as it damages their coat (such as Husky’s). Please consult with your groomer if you have any questions.
